We are here to service your mental health needs in a warm, compassionate judgement free atmosphere providing both individualized & specialized care in women's health. A women's life cycle is unique & requires special attention. If you are experiencing pregnancy or postpartum anxiety and depression, planning a pregnancy, or perhaps struggling with peri/post menopausal symptoms, my experience as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner will help! Sometimes having an unbiased perspective from a psychiatrist is what you may need to hep you navigate through a difficult time. Please reach out! Our Treatment Focus

Your first visit consists of a mental health assessment known as a psychiatric evaluation. In psychiatry, this is similar to an annual physical assessment, with a focus on changes in your mood, thinking and behaviors. Additionally, your personal and family medical/psychiatric history, past symptoms, current & past medications are obtained. We will explore how mental health is affected by nutrition, stress, fatigue, trauma, physical health, pregnancy or postpartum anxiety and depression. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I combine evidenced based practice recommendations, sound clinical judgement & my patient’s preferences/priorities.

PMHNP- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner- NP’s can assess, diagnose and treat a wide variety of mental health conditions or ilnnesses. Some examples include: Anxiety, Panic, Social Anxiety, Depression, ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder), OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Trauma and Posttratumatic Stress Disorder PTSD.

MD- Medical Doctor (Psychiatrist, OB/GYN, general internist, primary care provider)

Psychotherapy is a process of using specific methods and techniques to address mental health symptoms, conditions or emotional/behavioral difficulties. The goals of psychotherapy is to assist the individual in developing coping skills/strategies to improve interpersonal relationships, functioning. In addition to alleviating symptoms and maintaining the quality of their mental health and well being.
